The market place is going down in flames! The buffet food is terrible! It looks and tastes like it has been there for days. We went there Sunday for lunch and apparently there trying a new angel. They've removed all wait staff and hostess', installed a 30,000.00 self serve pop machine that has only part of the flavors it offers, when I brought it to their attention they said "yeah it's been running out for a while and needs to be changed" (which never happened). An employee was going to tables where people were still eating and asking if they payed for their meals, the employees I talked to had bad attitudes about the changes. Obviously the wait staff will no longer receive tips. We decided to just have the salad bar the lady said it was 8.99 WITHOUT a drink ,that was 2.00 more! I payed 40.00 for 3 salads!! The soup lids were actually in the soup and it was splattered everywhere! The "Grand buffet" is 16.00!! That's ridiculous! Especially if it's self serve and bad food! You're making bad moves in the wrong direction Hy-Vee!! I won't eat there again, and I won't be recommending them either. What a shame I actually used to like eating there.
Fresh produce, beautifully decorated, everything looks delicious, seasonly stimulating, I loved browsing all the diverse selection! The experience was better than shopping for clothes! I definitely will be a regular now but, not for all my needs because it's a little too high priced for my budget! I loved the experience though!
This HyVee is amazing! It's got everything that a suburban store does (albeit in smaller sizes for some items) and has similar prices. I soak like the Market Grille here. It's got a great wine cellar and daily specials. Do yourself a favor and check it out.
At any HyVee location, employees treat their customers so well! I love that it's an employee owned company. I don't want to buy my groceries anywhere else. Their fuel saver program is also great. Many of their stores have a Starbucks, although I'd rather support a local coffee store. Regardless, I enjoyed seeing that some of their stores have cup holders to attach to your cart while you shop.
A clean store with hardly any items out of stock. I also visited the restaurant with a friend and my children for lunch and the food was delicious! I was also very impressed with the catering from this store, as I was in town for a funeral and the trays were delivered in a timely manner and were also really good! A store with multiple options!
