Tired of this place!!! They never give adequate care. I'm sick of the ER. I understand there are "drug seekers" but that does NOT give the "doctors" the right to treat everyone like they are seeking drugs. I heard an old couple in the room next to mine complaining of pain and the Dr said he didn't see any indications of giving him stronger pain meds. Tylenol and ibprofen are patients best friends. Give me a break. I DONT RECOMMEND THIS ER TO ANYONE!!!!!

Peds dept Dr called in sick. Receptionist called with no message . We live 3 hrs away. No message was received. We love love our doc. The staff definitely lacks professionalism.

***Doctors name was Matt. Not very compassionate and he was quick like he didn't have time to listen to what my issue was.

My wife is currently pregnant and we moved after we started seeing an OBGYN in Muscatine. Every single appointment was either canceled or changed within minutes of us showing up. The Doctors act like asking for an Ultrasound is like asking for them to cure cancer. It was a rush-job the entire time, you were in and out within 10 minutes. Doesn't matter if you have questions or concerns. We would see the same doctor (usually you see all 4) each time and she wouldn't know who we were. One time we were 10 minutes into talking about our child having Down Syndrome based on lab results when we didn't even do any lab testing - so she was literally talking about some other family and some other baby having down syndrome.. and I felt super bad for this family I've never met because the doctor was acting like it was nothing. She wouldn't even answer our own questions such as "How do you know our baby has down syndrome when she hasn't submitted any lab samples?" - and then she acts like we are the huge inconsiderate assholes for pointing out she was talking to the wrong people!

I always feel rushed and more like a number rather than a patient. But it's the only place in town

What the hell is wrong with this place? This place operates more like a factory or a Walmart than a hospital.

Also, why the hell does this hospital smell like bad body odor? We went the other day and it was 80 degrees in the lobbies and smell like arm pits.

I really hate this hospital. The poor quality of this hospital was one of the factors to move to Iowa City. When I was 21 I got into a car accident and went to the E.R. - my neck hurt. The doctor came in after 3 hours and was more concerned with a couple scrapes on my right arm than my neck hurting. I asked for an x-ray and was ignored. 4 hours goes by and I leave and go to Iowa City. (University of Iowa hospital) I had a broken neck. Two surgeries later, I go home and find a nice little bill for neck x-rays taken at the Muscatine hospital that never took place. Also included was an ambulance ride from Muscatine to Iowa City, something else that never happened. When it came to disputing the bill, Trinity's billing departments response was "You can't prove that you didn't get an x-ray, and you can't prove you didn't get an ambulance ride" - Luckily the University of Iowa was able to confirm that I didn't get an ambulance ride, and an attorney was able to prove (after a bit of a fight) that there were no records of an x-ray. I could literally be either dead or paralyzed if I had stayed in Muscatine and went home instead of driving myself to the University of Iowa. All because the doctor thought I was some druggie looking for pain killers.

Took my mother in to the ER yesterday. Short wait time. Excellent service by registration staff, nursing staff, and physician. Was seen by James Hines, PA. Was probably the nicest and most caring physicians I've ever met! My mother was admitted. Nursing staff were wonderful...especially Shelly! Facility is so nice and clean. Lucky to have such a nice local hospital! It has made many positive changes over the years!
